Greenlee Commits to Tigers


Last weekend during a Junior Day visit D.J Greenlee received the offer he had been waiting for from the Clemson Tigers.

Late Saturday night the Daniel standout told that he expected to make his commitment during the next week.  Wednesday morning D.J. followed through with and gave his verbal commitment to the Clemson staff.

The crowd that had gathered to watch Shaq Lawson sign with the Tigers got a little surprise on Wednesday.

“After Shaq had signed coach Rob came over and said we have another announcement.  Then I told everyone I wanted to be a Tiger,” said Greenlee.

The Clemson staff had already been informed of the plans.

“I had already told the coaches.  Coach Swinney said he was excited to get me on board,” said Greenlee.

The outside linebacker becomes the second verbal commitment for the Tiger’s 2013 class joining R.J. Prince.
