Clemson Leads for Adams

Montravius Adams, one of the top defensive tackles in the nation, visited Junior Day at Clemson in late January.

“I had a good time at Clemson.  They really have nice coaches.  We have a pretty good bond.  They have good facilities and a good academic program,” said Adams.

Montravius spent a lot of time with coach Brooks and new defensive coordinator Brent Venables during the visit.  What does the prize recruit think of Venables?

“He is a pretty nice guy.  He told me where I would be playing if I come to Clemson.  I can play everywhere on the line.  I can go inside or outside,” replied Adams.

Several other visits are in the plans.

“I am going to go to Alabama, Georgia, Florida and probably some more,” said Adams.

The offer list is growing quickly for the Georgia standout.

“I have offers from Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Michigan State, Georgia, Florida and a couple of others,” said Adams.

When asked about his current leaders, Adams responded, “I kind of like Clemson a little more than the others but I am still pretty open.  I am going to go around and look at some of the other schools.”

Why do the Tigers lead?

“They had a good year and are really going to be good in the future.  Their defense struggled this year and I can come in and play early,” replied Adams.
