Clemson defeated Wake Forest 78-58 Saturday afternoon in Winston-Salem to earn their first road win of the season.  The win was the Tigers broke a streak of 18 straight losses at Wake Forest.

Tanner Smith led the Tigers with 20 points, five rebounds and five assists.  Milton Jennings returned to the starting lineup for Clemson and scored 15 points.  Andre Young added 12 for the Tigers.  Devin Coleman came off the bench and played well for the Tigers scoring nine points on 4-5 shooting.

The Tigers hit 58 percent from the field and 44 percent from three for the game.  Wake Forest struggled from the field hitting only 37 percent and 15 from three.

The Tigers got off to a fast start building a 7-0 lead in the first three minutes.  Wake Forest went on an 11-2 run and took the lead 11-9 with 11:22 to go in the half. 

With six minutes remaining in the half the Deacs stretched the lead to 26-20.  The Tigers finished the half on a 22-10 run. 

Clemson led 42-36 at the half.  Tanner Smith was on fire in the first half with 15 points on 6-6 shooting including 3-3 from three.

The Tigers continued the run early in the second half.  Bryan Narcisse hit a three with 16:24 remaining to put Clemson up 57-41.  The lead grew to 20 when Andre Young hit a free throw with 9:38 to go. 

K.J. McDaniels hit a three with 7:54 remaining to put Clemson up 73-50.  Wake Forest would never threaten in the second half.

With the win Clemson moves to 12-12 on the season and 4-6 in the ACC.  The Tigers return to Littlejohn on Tuesday night to battle Virginia.
