Mallard Creek star receiver Marquez North visited North Carolina last week where he saw one of the top rivalries in college basketball when the Heels battled the Devils.
“I went up there on Wednesday. It was crazy up there. I had a good time,” said North.
Coach Pearman is recruiting the 4-star receiver for the Tigers.
“Coach Pearman hits me up a lot on Facebook. He tells me any time I want to come down I am welcome,” said North.
The Mallard Creek standout visited Clemson in January for Junior Day. Is another trip to Clemson in the works?
“I will get down sometime soon. I am not sure yet when,” said North.
The offer list continues to grow for one of the nation’s top receivers.
“I have 18 or 19 now,” said North.
When asked about his current leaders, North responded, “I really don’t have a leader. My top five would be Clemson, North Carolina, Georgia, Ohio State and NC State”.
A visit to Clemson is in the planning stages. Are there any other visits being planned?
“I don’t really have any other visits planned right now,” said North.
The decision timing is unknown right now for the prize recruit.
“I am not even sure yet. I will talk with my parents. I don’t know when I will be ready,” said North.
What will be important when Marquez picks his college destination?
“I am just looking for a place I am comfortable. I will find the place that fits me. I don’t want to go too far from home,” replied North.
