2014 linebacker Kevin Crosby is the latest 5-star prospect to come from Bamberg-Ehrhardt. Clemson along with many other top programs have already been recruiting Kevin for several years. Alabama got a Junior Day visit from the top defender.
“The visit was great. We went up there on Friday and then they had Junior Day on Saturday. We toured all of the facilities and then went to the football game,” said Crosby.
Coach Saban gave Kevin some good news during the visit.
“After the game I got pulled to the side and coach Saban wanted to talk with me. I sat down and talked with him and he said I have an offer to come play for Alabama. I was excited. I wanted to yell. It was a big offer to get one from the national champs,” said Crosby.
Crosby attended the Dabo Swinney Football Camp last summer. Another visit to Clemson is in the works for the top linebacker.
“I am heading to Clemson in March with some of my teammates,” said Crosby.
The offer list is already growing for the prize recruit.
“I think I have 18 or 19 now. I just got offered by Arizona State,” said Crosby.
When asked about his current favorites, Crosby responded, “I wouldn’t say I have too many favorites. I am kind of figuring out how I want to narrow it down. I will probably narrow it down to seven teams or so”.
When is the timeline on a decision from the future 5-star linebacker?
“I was thinking maybe after my junior year. Going into my junior season I will narrow it down some. Then maybe heading into my senior year I will be ready to make my decision,” replied Crosby.
The super sophomore knows what he will consider when making his decision.
“Academics will be No. 1. Playing time is not a big issue. I want to have to fight for what I get. I also want a good strength and conditioning program,” said Crosby.
