TheClemsonInsider.com caught up with Richie Shaffer following the Tigers win over Maine. Shaffer and the Tigers bounced back from a 4-0 deficit to defeat Maine 9-5 Saturday at Doug Kingsmore.
“It was big. Rebounding from a loss is always huge. We wanted to come out and be really aggressive. I think we have been swinging the bats really well. It is just that we have had a lot of bad luck. A lot of balls hit right at people. We kept our head up, kept swinging and swinging and the ball started falling. We got the ball rolling and never really looked back,” said Shaffer.
How important was it to get runs in the bottom of the inning after Maine jumped to a 4-0 lead?
“That is huge. When someone gets the lead like that is is really important to bounce back,” said Shaffer.
