Rogers - It Made My Day

Crest defensive end Dane Rogers was waiting for an offer from the Tigers.  Over the weekend the top defensive end found out he already had one.

“It was Saturday morning when I found out.  I found out they had really offered me a long time ago.  They thought I was already aware of it.  It was Saturday morning when my coach told me you are aware you already have an offer from Clemson,” said Rogers.

How did it feel to know he had an offer from the Tigers?

“It made my day.  I was glad to hear that,” said  Rogers.

When asked about his current favorites, Rogers responded, “Clemson and Florida are two of them.  I am looking to see some of them in spring ball.  I will try to narrow it down to a top ten around the season.  Then I will narrow it down to a top five and take official visits”.

The prize recruit is planning to visit the Gators next month.

“I am trying to get down to Florida.  I missed their last Junior Day.  I am trying to go down some time in March,” said Rogers.

Dane isn’t sure if he will make it to Clemson this weekend for Junior Day.

“I will have to see if I can.  I haven’t talked with anyone yet about taking me down,” said Rogers.

The Crest standout is rehabbing his knee to prepare for next season.

“I am just training and working out right now.  I am trying to get my knee back in good shape.  I had some tendinitis and am working to get the strength back,” said Rogers.

How did cousin Carlos Watkins respond to the news of the offer?

“I haven’t really talked to him yet about it.  I am pretty sure he already knows.  I will be giving him a call and seeing him this spring,” replied Rogers.
