6-1, 180 pound defensive back Jadar Johnson gave Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney and Marion Hobby good news Wednesday night when he gave a verbal commitment to the Tigers.
Johnson is a two-way standout for Orangeburg-Wilkerson. On defense Jadar had 50 tackles and four interceptions. On offense the top athlete caught 60 passes and found the endzone nine times.
The Tigers offered Jadar in February. Johnson also has offers from North Carolina and NC State.
Jadar becomes the fourth commitment for the Tiger’s 2013 class.
