The Rally Cats will do their best to energize the fans in Death Valley or Littlejohn. Each week get the latest from one of the Tiger’s Rally Cats.
Now that home basketball season has come to an end, the Rally Cats are hard at work with national’s practices. Our practice schedule has increased from three days a week to four days a week; we now have practice on Sunday nights from 5-7 as well as on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. We have a total of 17 practices between now and when we leave to head to Daytona, FL for the NDA competition! Practices are not going to be easy between now and then, but all of us are extremely motivated to work hard and make this dance look perfect!
Along with our practice schedule increasing, our morning workouts have increased with intensity to help us with our stamina as we work hard to nail down this intense nationals routine. Stamina and strength are the two most important elements that we Rally Cats are going to need to make sure this routine is a success. Not only are we required to attend morning workouts each morning to help with our strength, but we all have to work out on our own to make sure we train our bodies to be able to withstand the high level of intensity that our routine requires. We are also required to nurture our bodies with a nutritious diet and make sure we get plenty of rest as we get closer and closer to our departure to Daytona.
We have a lot of hard work ahead of us, but we all know our work and dedication will all be worth it when we step onto the dance floor on April 12th for the preliminary competition, in hopes that we make it to finals on that Friday, April 13th.
Along with preparing our dance for nationals, we are also still trying to raise money to go to Daytona. The Rally Cats will be having another College Prep Clinic on Saturday, March 31st. Check out our clinic information on the Clemson Athletic website under the spirit squad link.
