David Kamara and the nation’s top recruit Robert Nkemdiche made a visit to Clemson on Monday.
“I went to Clemson today. I got to meet with the coaches and we watched practice,” said Kamara.
The 5-11, 185 pound corner got some good news from the Tigers during the visit.
“All of us were in the office and coach Swinney wanted to talk to me one on one. He told me he wanted to offer me a scholarship to Clemson. I was really happy. Coach Swinney is a good guy,”said Kamara.
How did teammate Robert Nkemdiche react to David’s offer?
“He was happy. He likes it at Clemson also. We are real close. He came here in the sixth grade and we have been good friends sense,” replied Kamara.
Another teammate, Wayne Gallman, also has an offer from the Tigers and has Clemson on top.
“Wayne is one of my best friends. We talk a lot at school,” said Kamara.
Have the three Grayson High teammates talked about playing together at the next level?
“Oh yeah. I have talked to Wayne and he really likes Clemson. We all like Clemson. They have a good chance,” replied Kamara.
Coach Swinney played with David’s High School coach at Alabama.
“He is just like our head coach. It would be just like playing at home. He is a nice guy,” said Kamara.
The offer list is growing for the Georgia standout.
“I now have offers from Clemson, Mississippi State and Ole Miss,” said Kamara.
Florida and Arkansas are also showing interest. Another SEC visit is on tap for this weekend.
“I am going to LSU this weekend,” said Kamara.
A decision could come in the next couple of months for David.
“I will probably make it before my spring practice. Our practice starts in May. I would like to get it over so I can focus on my season,” said Kamara.
