David Kamara, one of the top defensive backs from Georgia, took an unofficial visit to LSU earlier in March.
“Last weekend I went to LSU. It was a good visit. We got to watch practice. We talked with the coaches and toured the campus,” said Kamara.
Is an offer on the way from LSU?
“They said they were going to offer. They are waiting to see more film,” said Kamara.
David and his teammate Wayne Gallman has planned to attend Clemson’s spring game.
“I had planned to go back to Clemson for the spring game. Wayne and I were going. We have our prom that day so I am not sure if I will make it,” said Kamara.
If David doesn’t make it for the spring game he plans to find another time to visit Tigertown.
“It is close to home so I will probably go soon,” said Kamara.
The Grayson High standout spoke with coach Swinney last week.
“I talked to Dabo this week. He told me he really wants me at Clemson. He talked to me, Robert and Wayne,” said Kamara.
The Tigers would like to land all three Grayson teammates including Wayne Gallman and the nation’s top recruit Robert Nkemdiche. What are the chances that all three end up signing with Clemson?
“It is real good. Wayne really likes Clemson. Robert also likes Clemson, but whatever happens will happen,” said Kamara.
When asked about his current leaders, Kamara responded, “It is between Clemson and LSU. Clemson is probably ahead a little bit.”
The environment at Clemson gives them the advantage over LSU.
“When I went to LSU I liked the football, but I didn’t like the environment as much as Clemson’s,” said Kamara.
It looks like David could be the first of the three Grayson standouts to announce his decision.
“I am probably going to make it before the end of spring practice,” said Kamara.
