TCI Hitter-of-the Week                    #17 Steve Wilkerson

The sophomore second baseman from Roswell, GA earns his second straight and third overall TCI Hitter-of-the-Week Award after going 10-for-211 (.476) in five games this past week. Wilkerson had a triple, four RBI, three runs, and two walks on the week.

TCI Pitcher-of-the-Week                 #23 Daniel Gossett

The freshman righthander from Lyman, SC earned his first career win with a solid performance against Elon on Wednesday at Fluor Field in Greenville. In his second career start, Gossett went 7.0 innings allowing two runs (both earned) on three hits and two walks with 10 strikeouts.

Weekend Notes:

Clemson went 2-3 in five games this past week, sweeping a midweek series over Elon (in games at Clemson and Fluor Field in Greenville) before being swept at Virginia over the weekend. On the week, the Tigers were outscored 20-17 and hit .241 while their opponents hit .264. Clemson totaled two doubles, one triple, two homers, 19 walks, and six stolen bases. The Tiger pitching staff had a 3.86 ERA allowing 42 hits and 19 walks with 38 strikeouts in 42.0 innings pitched.

With a 4-2 win over Elon at Fluor Field in Greenville on March 21, Head Coach Jack Leggett became only the 15th coach in Division I history to win 1,200 games.
