Wednesday afternoon T.L. Hanna standout Ben Boulware visited Clemson’s spring practice. Just a few hours later he called coach Morris and gave him the good news that he was ready to give his verbal commitment to the Tigers.
In the last week the top linebacker had narrowed his selection to either Clemson or Georgia. Wednesday evening he decided to join his brother Garrett at Clemson. Garrett, a true freshman, has been playing outfield some for the Tigers this season.
Last season Ben recorded four sacks and 178 tackles for T.L. Hanna.
The 6-1, 230 pound backer picked the Tigers over offers from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Stanford, Tennessee, Maryland, Texas A&M, Wake Forest, Mississippi, South Florida and Vanderbilt.
Boulware becomes the fifth verbal commitment for the Tiger’s 2013 class.
