Isaac Rochell, one of the top defensive ends in the South, recently visited two programs with strong football traditions.
“My last two visits were to Notre Dame and Georgia. They were both really nice. Georgia fits the stereotype of the University of Georgia. Notre Dame was a little more unique,” said Rochell.
What did the prize recruit think was unique at Notre Dame?
“The academics are unique. There are a lot of opportunities for jobs after graduating from Notre Dame. The football program has a lot of tradition. The way they run their program is different than others,” replied Rochell.
Next up is a visit to Clemson.
“I am probably going to Clemson for the spring game next weekend if everything works out,” said Rochell.
After the Clemson visit Isaac plans to take a break from the visit tour.
“After that I will probably chill and take the recruiting process for what it is. I will probably not visit any more this spring,” said Rochell.
When asked about his favorites, Rochell responded, “I would say I probably have a top six or seven. Notre Dame is my top school followed by Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, Georgia and Georgia Tech.”
The decision timing may be changing for the Georgia standout.
“I thought I would wait until around Signing Day but now I am thinking I will probably move it up,” said Rochell.
Expect the top defender to narrow his list soon so he can concentrate on his favorites
“I am going to develop a top five soon. There are a lot of schools that contact you. I would rather calm it down a little,” said Rochell.
