Jones Transferring to Clemson


After receiving a commitment from a top running back earlier in the day the Clemson coaching staff got more good news.  Former Oklahoma linebacker Kellen Jones selected the Tigers for his transfer destination.

Jones had narrowed his final chose to Clemson and Purdue and decided he would follow coach Venables to the Tigers.

Kellen originally committed to Michigan out of high school, but ended up at Oklahoma.  Last season Jones played in 12 games for the Sooners.  Kellen had 10 tackles as a freshman.

Jones took an official visit to Clemson in March.  He will have to sit out one year and have three years of eligibility left.
