By has confirmed with a source that former Virginia Tech associate head coach James Johnson was on campus at Clemson on Sunday.  Johnson was introduced as a new Clemson assistant during a banquet on Sunday.

Coach Johnson reached the Final Four as an assistant on the staff at George Mason in 2006.  He also served one year as an assistant at College of Charleston in 2003.

Johnson and Brownell will hope to return the Tigers to the NCAA in 2013 after missing for the first time in five years.
