Hanging with Chad - Spring Game

By Chad Kelly.

CLEMSON, SC- Four-star quarterback and Clemson commit Chad Kelly agreed to do a diary with TheClemsonInsider.com earlier last year. In this edition Chad talks about his visit to Clemson this weekend for the annual Spring Game, what he thought of the game itself and the commitments that Clemson received earlier this week.

It felt great to be back in Clemson for the spring game this weekend. A few highlights from the visit for me were being able to spend time with my future roommates Shaq Lawson and Jay Jay McCullough. It was great to see them and continue to bond with the rest of my future teammates. I also enjoyed being able to watch the team play again and realize that football season is just around the corner.

The game itself was great, wide receiver Martavis Bryant really showed that he’s a force to be reckoned with next season. The receiving corps as a whole looked very strong. My friends and family who took the visit with me loved it. They’ve already promised me that they’ll be back to Death Valley for a few games in the fall.

As for the new additions to Clemson’s family that came this week, I couldn’t be happier to welcome them to the family. A season like last years’ and the possibilities for this season definitely help in recruiting the nation’s best prospects.

Every recruit who comes to Clemson and actually visits falls in love at first sight. The campus is great; the people you meet are very genuine. I normally don’t have to talk Clemson up when a recruit is visiting because Clemson speaks for itself.

I’m moving down to Clemson this summer and I cannot wait to move down to Clemson and not just visit. I am very excited to start my career as a Tiger and run down the hill and rub the rock for the first time.
