Gilmore Changes Commitment Timing


Defensive tackle Greg Gilmore has changed his commitment timing after finding out he is an All-American.

“For past couple of months I had said I was going to do it early.  I found out I am going to the US Army All-American game.  I am going to wait and do it then,” said Gilmore.

The visits have slowed for the North Carolina standout.

“I didn’t go anywhere the last couple of weeks.  My last visit was to Virginia Tech.  It was okay but the game got rained out.  We got to tour the facilities,” said Gilmore.

When asked about his current favorites, Gilmore responded, “LSU is up there along with Florida and Clemson”.

“I am still very interested in Clemson.  They are one of my top schools,” said Gilmore.

Coach Brooks continues to keep in touch with the top lineman.

“Coach Brooks came here and watched me play ball.  He saw me but we couldn’t really talk,” said Gilmore.

A number of other schools have stopped by to see the prize recruit.

“UNC, Miami, Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Clemson, Alabama and NC State have all been by,” said Gilmore.

Another SEC school will soon get a visit.

“I am getting ready to go to Ole Miss,” said Gilmore.
