On the walkoff homerun in the 10th

“I was just trying to see something up and put a good swing on it. That’s what I was trying to do the whole day. That’s what everyone was trying to do. I think we did a really good job as an offense the whole day. We really chipped away at that lead. They got ahead early, but we didn’t back down. We just kept chipping away. Haselden did a really good job maintaining for us. We just needed a couple more innings to get that one run across and I happened to be the guy to do it.”

On how big a win Tuesday was

“We know that we don’t have any more room for error. We have to win these games. That’s just how it is. We have to find ways to win these games, even if that’s a wild pitch that scores two runs to tie the game, any way you can get the job done. You have to find a way to get the balls to bounce your way. We had really good relief pitching today and we just kept chipping away on offense. Joe Costigan had a big two-out hit to spark the rally, and that’s what it takes. It takes a collective team effort to win games like this.”

On the bats coming alive

“Seeing other guys stepping up and making plays at the plate is huge. Sometimes I try to do too much and I try to over swing, so it’s good to have a lot of confidence in the guys behind you and you know they’ll get the job done. I thought we played really good defense. It’s basically a “no-fly zone” out in centerfield with Brittle taking away left-center and right-center. We made some big plays on defense, made some good pitches, and got hits when we needed to, and that’s baseball.”

Will the momentum carry into the Florida State series?

“We’re going to try to keep this momentum going into the Florida State series this weekend. Four games in a row is a different kind of mentality. It really gets everyone’s minds going for regionals and beyond. We’re getting that post-season mentality going that’s hopefully going to be big for us in the future.”
