Cooke Gets Offer He's Waited For

2014 Miami Central running back Dalvin Cooke has always liked the Tigers since he watched C.J. Spiller for Clemson.  Now one of the nation’s top 2014 backs has an offer from the Tigers.

“They told me they have seen my highlights.  They said I have an offer from Clemson.  They are going to come down and checkout my transcripts and everything,” said Cooke.

How did it feel to get the offer from the Tigers?

“It was great to get the offer from Clemson.  I always liked C.J. and feel like they could use me the same way.  I was real glad to get that offer,” replied Cooke.

The halls at Miami Central have been filled with coaches coming by to check on Dalvin and several other prospects.

“A bunch of schools have been by, probably about 15.  Southern Cal, Illinois, LSU, Bama are some of the ones that came by,” said Cooke.

Clemson will be by to visit next week.

“They are coming down on Wednesday.  Coach Venables will be stopping by,” said Cooke.

Over the summer the speedster plans to visit Tigertown.

“I am going to get up there this summer.  I also want to visit Auburn, Southern Cal and Ohio State,” said Cooke.

Dalvin wants to take some visits before making any decisions on his college destination.

“I am going to wait a while and take some visits.  Whenever it comes down I will make my commitment,” said Cooke.
