Clemson in South Carolina Regional

By

Last season the NCAA tried to match the Tigers and Gamecocks in the Super Regionals, but Clemson couldn’t get past Connecticut.  This year the two teams will play in the same regional in Columbia.

South Carolina, the No. 8 national seed, will host Clemson, Coastal Carolina and Manhattan.

Clemson will open the regional Friday at noon as the No. 2 seed against No. 3 seed Coastal Carolina.  South Carolina will play No. 4 seed Manhattan Friday.

The winner of the South Carolina regional will play the winner of the Virginia regional in the Super Regional the following weekend.  Oklahoma is the No. 2 seed in the Virginia regional with Appalachian State as the No. 3 seed and Army as the No. 4 seed.
