Busy Summer Ahead for Green

Derrick Green got some good news this week when he was named the nation’s top running back by Rivals.

“I am loving it.  I am blessed to have the opportunity.  It is a big honor for me and my family,” said Green.

School is winding down for the top running back.

“We have about two more weeks.  Our last day is June 14,” said Green.

Derrick plans to attend a few combines this summer.

“I am going to a 5-star camp in Atlanta from June 22 to 24.  I am going out to Oregon on July 5 for the Opening,” said Green.

Several schools will get visits from the 5-star running back this summer.

“I am going to check out Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and Oklahoma State.  I will also visit Oregon when I go out for the Opening,” said Green.

Clemson will get another visit, but it may not be until the season.

“I am definitely going to check them out again.  It might be for a game,” said Green.

When asked about his current leaders, Green responded, “I don’t really have any leaders right now.  Everybody is equal.  I am going to narrow it down to a top ten this summer.  I will then narrow it down to five during the season and take my official visits.”
