Cook Commits to Tigers

The Clemson coaching staff received good news Wednesday when 2014 running back Dalvin Cook committed to the Tigers.

The 203 pound speedster was on campus Tuesday and Wednesday for the Dabo Swinney High School football camp.  Cooke had wanted to commit to the Tigers earlier this spring, but the staff wanted him to get to campus to make sure everything was firm.  Before leaving Wednesday Dalvin sat down with coach Swinney to make things official.

“Me coming up to Clemson my number one school.  Everything was in place.  Everything went well.  Coach Swinney and I had a meeting today after the practice and we talked about what the commitment meant.  I told him I was All In,” said Cooke.

How does it feel to get the commitment behind you and end the process so early?

“It will feels great.  Now I can relax,” said Cook.

Miami Central brought several vans full of players up to the camp this week.  Dalvin is already busy recruiting for the Tigers.

“I am trying to get some of them on board,” said Cook.

How firm is the commitment?

“I am 100 percent.  I am a Tiger,” said Cook.

Dalvin becomes the second commitment for the Tiger’s 2014 class joining top quarterback Deshaun Watson.  With Watson and Cooke on board the Tigers already have two of the top offensive players in the 2014 class.
