Shaq Lawson spent the summer working hard in the classroom and it paid off as he got the A he needed to qualify.
“I finished with the A I needed. We will be sending the grade in on Friday,” said Lawson.
The future Clemson defensive end plans to move in next week once the Clearing House finishes his qualification.
“I will move in to Clemson on Tuesday or Wednesday. They said it would just take a couple of days for the Clearing House to get everything done,” said Lawson.
Shaq can’t wait to get on campus and start working with his teammates.
“I am very happy. I can’t wait to get over there and go through the workouts, learn the playbook and study for class,” said Lawson.
Coach Hobby has kept in touch with the prize recruit to make sure he is ready to compete when he arrives on campus next week.
“I went over to camp last week. I have been talking with coach Hobby. He told me to be ready to play. He said they need my speed,” said Lawson.
Most players have to leave home to move to Clemson, but Shaq will have the best of both worlds.
“It will be good. At night I can go home and get a home cooked meal,” said Lawson.
