By Dalvin Cook.
Clemson verbal commitment Dalvin Cook, one of the top 2014 running backs in the nation, is doing a diary with TheClemsonInsider. In this edition the prize recruit talks about summer school and recruiting some of his teammate to join him at Clemson.
We have been practicing hard this summer. I have been running on the track, doing lots of shakes. I have put on eight pounds since the last month. I am up to 192 now.
I have been taking a couple of classes this summer so I don’t have to take them during the year. Taking classes in the summer will make it easier for me to enroll early at Clemson.
I check in with coach Elliott. He tells me to keep getting bigger and faster. He tells me to keep working on the technique.
I am working on getting three of my teammates to come to Clemson. Jonathan Harris, a 2014 linebacker, should be committing at our first game. Christopher Reese is also thinking about committing.
The Clemson coaches want to see them play. All of the coaches are coming to see us play Grayson in our first game on August 31. We are playing them up there.
I will get to play against some of my future teammates. It will be hard but I will leave everything on the field.
I got to meet Wayne at the camp. He is a cool person. We will get to know each other even better.
