Register checking out depth charts

4-star linebacker Chris Register will be one of the top targets for the Tigers and many other schools around the country.  Coaches have been coming by Greensboro to see Chris over the last few weeks.

“Coach White from NC State came by today.  He introduced himself.  He wants me to try to get over and meet the new staff,” said Register.

Coach Caldwell is recruiting the top linebacker for the Tigers.

“I have been talking with coach Caldwell.  He invited me to their Junior Day.  That will be hard to get to since I live in Greensboro,” said Register.

The offer list has grown quickly and Chris struggles to keep up with all of the offers.

“It is hard to keep up with all of them.  Some of them are Clemson, Tennessee, Indiana, Florida, UNC, NC State.  Ohio State is talking about one,” said Register.

Wednesday Chris got some good news in the mail.

“I got a letter from the NFL today.  It was recognition for achievement on the field.  I was one of 100 selected for the NFL Prep 100 Series,” said Register.

The decision timing is not clear for the prize recruit.

“I am not sure right now.  I don’t really know where I want to go.  I will look the depth charts.  It is hard will all the coaches leaving and stuff like that,” said Register.

What does he think of the depth chart at Clemson?

“This year their weakness was at linebacker.  They have a really good class coming in.  I would have to compete there but I am going to have to compete anywhere.  Alabama is stacked at linebacker so I would have to compete there as well,” replied Register.
