Greetings TCI family! I am delighted to have the privilege to share my thoughts with you on a daily basis through the Qualk Talk blog. This space will be used to convey my thoughts on issues of the day, with the majority of the takes coming on some issue or event related to Clemson athletics.  Today, I wanted to take the opportunity to give you an idea of what you can expect from this blog every single day. I have some things in store that should both inform and entertain moving forward, so I feel it is important to make sure we all know what we are getting into.

First of all, my relationship with Clemson University runs very deep. My mother is a Clemson graduate. My parents are IPTAY donors and have been for more than 25 years. I have two degrees from Clemson and both of my sisters will be enrolled in classes at the school in the fall. I worked in the Sports Information Office throughout my six years of schooling and have written countless articles on behalf of IPTAY.

All of these are undeniable facts.

With that being said, I have spent years on the radio doing my best to attain credibility by taking a measured approach to Clemson athletics. In this blog, I will attempt to do the same thing. I will be fair and honest, because you deserve it, and because Clemson University deserves it.

You can expect me to say what I feel and stand by it because integrity is important to me. My word is my bond, no matter what the subject matter.  I am an emotional person. I like to approach topics in a passionate way. But I have also learned over the years—through much trial and error—that emotion must be justified to be effective.

Most of the content here will pertain to Clemson athletics, particularly once the athletic calendar arrives in August. Sometimes I may provide a different take, but I will do my best to make a general point that ties into Clemson in some way, shape, or form.

Above all else, I pledge to always work as hard as I can to give you something enjoyable to read. Without that goal in mind, this blog may as well contain nothing but empty space.

I look forward to interacting with all of you and discussing what should be a historic football season at Clemson—for better or worse—and the roller coaster ride that extends throughout the year.

God Bless!
