Scott Announces for Clemson

4-star receiver Artavis Scott told the nation Tuesday night on ESPNU that he plans to attend Clemson University.

“I will take my talent to Clemson,” Scott announced.

Why Clemson?

“I liked them ever since I went there.  I think I fit in best there,” said Scott.

What did Dabo Swinney tell Artavis?

“He just  going to coach me hard.  He is looking forward to me coming.  I just need to come up there and do what I am supposed to do,” said Scott.

Earlier this week the prize recruit narrowed the field to three schools, Clemson, Florida and Central Florida.  Most of the top schools in the nation offered the speedster including Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Ohio State, Michigan, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Georgia and West Virginia.

Scott attended the Dabo Swinney High School Football Camp earlier this month.

The East Lake standout had a super sophomore season with 54 catches for over 1500 yards.  As a junior Artavis had 64 receptions for 995 yards with ten touchdowns.

Artavis is the 13th verbal commitment for Clemson’s 2014 class and the second receiver joining 4-star Demarre Kitt.
