Clemson verbal commitment Chris Register, one of the top linebackers in the South, is doing a diary with  In this edition the prize recruit discusses his trip to The Opening and much more.

That was my first flight ever.  It went pretty good.  Once I sat down on the plane it was fine.

They said it was football heaven.  That is what it was.

It was a different experience.  Everybody was my size and everybody was fast.  I think I did pretty good against the competition.

Artavis (Scott) was on my flight.  I heard he was thinking about committing to Clemson.  He is quick.

7-on-7 is more of a thing for quarterbacks, receivers and corners.  You don’t really get to see how a linebacker can play or a running back.  You didn’t really hear any linebackers getting shout outs on the coverage.

We really came together as a team to win the 7-on-7.  We went from getting blown out in our first game to building ourselves up.  We came together after that first game and won every game.  You have a lot of great players playing together.  Everybody is not used to playing against great guys.  It was different on our team.  We had one team meeting after that first loss and  talked about the plays.  After that it was it.  We just went out and player our game.  Everybody else was taking it real serious.

I had a lot of other players on the flight back with me.  Everybody in the Southeast came through Charlotte from Portland.

I would like to go to the All In cookout.  I am going to try to make it.

I am trying to talk some with Trevion to get him on board.  I talked with him a lot at The Opening.  He told me he is trying to make sure he makes the right decision.
