Clemson enters the 2013 season with at least one legitimate Heisman candidate.  TCI will take a look each week at how the Heisman race is going as the season progresses.

Who are the contenders?  How does Tajh rank among the top candidates?

 

 

1. Johnny Manziel, QB       SO    Texas A&M                4-1

Season Stats: 100-140 (71.4%) passing for 1489 yards with 14 TDs & 4 INTs and 48 carries for 314 yards with 3 TDs in five games

Last Game: 23-30 (76.7%) passing for 261 yards with 2 TDs and 9 carries for 59 yards in team’s 45-33 win at Arkansas

Next Game: Saturday, October 12 @ #24 Ole Miss (8:30PM)

 

2. Aaron Murray, QB          SR    Georgia                     4-1

Season Stats: 98-151 (64.9%) for 1534 yards with 14 TDs & 3 INTs and 24 carries for 73 yards with 3 TDs in five games

Last Game: 19-35 (54.3%) for 196 yards with 3 TDs and 3 carries for 53 yards in team’s 34-31 (OT) win at Tennessee

3. Tajh Boyd, QB               SR    Clemson                    5-0

Season Stats: 93-141 (66.0%) passing for 1449 yards with 14 TDs & 2 INTs and 49 carries for 154 yards with 4 TDs in five games

Last Game: 20-27 (74.1%) passing for 455 yards with 5 TDs & 2 INTs and 8 carries for -5 yards in team’s 49-14 win at Syracuse
