Clemson enters the 2013 season with at least one legitimate Heisman candidate.  TCI will take a look each week at how the Heisman race is going as the season progresses.

Who are the contenders?  How does Tajh rank among the top candidates?

 

 

1. Marcus Mariota, QB       SO    Oregon                     7-0

Season Stats: 123-197 (62.4%) passing for 2051 yards with 19 TDs & 0 INT and 49 carries for 493 yards with 9 TDs in seven games

Last Game: 23-32 (71.9%) passing for 327 yards with 2 TDs and 8 carries for 67 yards with 1 TD in team’s 62-38 win over Washington State

Next Game: Saturday, October 26 vs. #11 UCLA (7:00PM)

 

2. Jameis Winston, QB       FR    Florida State             6-0

Season Stats: 112-157 (71.3%) passing for 1885 yards with 20 TDs & 3 INTs and 43 carries for 137 yards with 3 TDs in six games

Last Game: 22-34 (64.7%) passing for 444 yards with 3 TDs & 1 INT and 7 carries for 2 yards with a TD in team’s 51-14 win at #3 Clemson
