The Clemson coaching staff got some great news Sunday when 4-star receiver Trevion Thompson gave a verbal commitment to the Tigers.
“In the fall of 2014 I will be attending Clemson University,” said Thompson.
Trevion was on campus this weekend for his official visit.
The All-American has an impressive offer list that included Ohio State, West Virginia, Miami, Notre Dame, Florida, Oregon, Virginia Tech and many others.
With the addition of Thompson the Tigers have one of the top receiver classes in the nation. Artavis Scott, DeMarre Kitt and Ky Priester are already on campus as early enrollees.
Thompson had an outstanding postseason as he led the North Carolina team in receptions in the Shrine Bowl and had several impressive catches in the Semper Fi All-American game.
Trevion becomes the 17th commitment for Clemson’s 2014 class.
