Clemson verbal commitment Alex Spence took his official visit to Clemson last weekend.
“It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the visit,” said Spence.
The weekend was packed with activities that allowed Alex and his family to see everything at Clemson and spend some quality time with his future teammates and coaches.
“I came in on Friday around 4:30. We went to dinner in the WestZone. We hung out afterwards. The next day we met in the lobby at 8:30 and had breakfast. Then they took us on a tour of Vickery Hall. We went to lunch in the Indoor Facility and had the Smoking Pig BBQ. After that they took us to the dorms so we could see where we will live. Then we went to the stadium. We got to watch the video they did at the Georgia game with the team going around to the Hill. We got to walk down the Hill and went to the locker room for a tour. Then we went to Calhoun Corners for dinner and then to Dabo’s for desert,” said Spence.
Who came with Alex on the visit?
“My mom, sister and brother. They really liked it. My younger brother liked trying on a jersey,” Spence told TheClemsonInsider.com.
What was the highlight of the visit?
“They showed me the helmet I would be wearing and we got to see the jerseys. It was exciting to see. It showed that it is finally about to happen,” replied Spence.
Before leaving Sunday Alex spent time talking with Dabo and the coaches.
“The coaches gave us some paperwork on the process for signing day. They told me to keep doing well and they would keep in touch. They said to just keep doing what i have been doing,” said Spence.
