Yeargin to Clemson?

After receiving information earlier this afternoon that 4-star defender Richard Yeargin had committed to the Tigers, there now appears to be some confusion about his commitment status.  Friday Yeargin backed off a long commitment to Notre Dame.

We have not been able to confirm any commitment on the Clemson end.

Earlier today we reported that Yeargin had told TCI that he did not plan to take any other official visits.  In December the prize recruit took an official visit to Clemson.

Yeargin narrowed the field in December to Clemson and Notre Dame.

Richard had an impressive offer list that included Notre Dame, Arkansas, Auburn, Louisville, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Nebraska, Southern California, West Virginia, UCLA, Stanford, Tennessee, North Carolina and Ole Miss.

We will continue to monitor this situation closely.
