Comparing the ACC Recruiting Classes

By

The 2014 football recruiting classes are now complete.  The 2014 class showed once again that three ACC schools are recruiting on a different level than the other members.  There is a significant talent gap between the classes Clemson, Florida State and Miami are signing compared to the rest of the league.  Believe it not Virginia signed a quality class and was the only ACC team to sign a 5 star according to ESPN.

As we know talent doesn’t always translate to better results on the field, but if this  pattern remains consistent the Tigers, Noles and Canes should be able to elevate their programs to a level that the other teams can’t reach consistently.

A look at the ACC classes and South Carolina based on the 2014 rankings from ESPN.
