Clemson added a commitment from four-star offensive guard Sean Pollard on Friday when he committed to the Tigers during a ceremony at Pinecrest High School.
Pollard is the first offensive line commitment for the Tigers’ 2016. He’s the third offensive player to join the group. Clemson also has commitments from quarterback Zerrick Cooper (Jonesboro, Georgia) and J.C. Chalk (Argyle, Texas).
Listed by Rivals as the No. 4 offensive guard in the country, Pollard picked Clemson over offers from Duke, UNC, N.C. State, Wake Forest, South Carolina and Penn State.
Clemson hosted Pollard for four visits this past season.
The 6-5, 295-pound prospect visited with his dad and grandmother the Sunday before the Florida State game. He returned a few weeks later for the UNC game.
Pollard visited twice in November. First, he brought his mom and sister for another non-game day trip. Pollard returned in a couple of weeks for the South Carolina game.
