Sheridan Jones is just a rising freshman, but he’s a prospect Clemson fans should know about.
Jones, a 2020 cornerback from Virginia Beach (Va.) Bishop Sullivan Catholic, already has four big offers from Florida, Maryland, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.
Jones is on Clemson’s radar, as well.
The 6-foot-1, 165-pounder is planning to visit Clemson before the summer is up.
“I plan to see a couple (schools) before the summer ends,” Jones told The Clemson Insider. “Other than the ones that offered, Clemson, Florida State and maybe some more.”
Jones said he likes what he knows about the Tigers.
“From what I’ve seen, I like the atmosphere and the mentality of the players,” Jones said.
How does Jones describe himself as a cornerback?
“I like to play aggressive,” Jones said, “but be patient at the same time.”
As evinced by his offer sheet at such a young age, Jones is an impressive athlete with a lot of upside. He should continue to attract attention as he advances in the recruiting process.
“My recruiting process is going pretty well,” Jones said. “But I’m focused on getting ready for this season.”
