How did Clemson’s commits perform in their games on Friday night?

The Clemson Insider has the latest on those performances here:

Chase Brice led Grayson (Ga.) to a 45-3 win at South Gwinnett with 225 yards passing and two touchdowns of 59 and 46 yards through the air. Brice also added a 6-yard rushing score.

Knoxville (Tenn.) Catholic wide receiver Amari Rodgers did it all in his team’s 71-6 blasting of Cherokee in the first round of the playoffs. In addition to fulfilling his duties at wideout, Rodgers ran for a 23-yard touchdown in the first quarter and later returned a punt 68 yards for a touchdown.

Defensive end Jordan Williams rushed for a pair of short touchdowns near the goal line to help Cox (Virginia Beach, Va.) defeat Kempsville 51-25 and win its first-ever outright district championship.

A couple of other commits and their teams clinched region titles, as well. Linebacker/quarterback Baylon Spector and Calhoun (Ga.) beat Lakeview 48-0 to claim the title, while cornerback LeAnthony Williams and Roswell (Ga.) did the same with a 20-14 win over Cherokee.

Cornerback A.J. Terrell and Westlake (Atlanta) routed Campbell 52-6, while Cordarrian Richardson and Trezevant (Tenn.) took out Westwood 54-0 in the first round of the playoffs.

Offensive lineman Noah DeHond and Peddie (Hightstown, N.J.) lost to Ewing 55-20, linebacker Justin Foster and Crest (Shelby, N.C.) fell to Shelby 21-19, Blake Vinson and North Marion (Citra, Fla.) were outlasted by Oakleaf 28-14, and Tee Higgins and Oak Ridge (Tenn.) lost to Walker Valley in the first round of the playoffs by a score of 35-27.

2018 linebacker commit Mike Jones and IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) play at Chaminade-Madonna at 1 p.m. today.



Clemson, ranked as high as No. 4 in the country, won at Kennesaw State in midweek action before sweeping a three-game series at Pittsburgh to close out the regular-season. The Tigers outscored the competition (…)
