Gallman picked in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft

Clemson running back Wayne Gallman was selected No. 140 by the New York  Giants in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft on Saturday.

Gallman was the fourth former Tiger taken in the 2017 draft, joining wide receiver Mike Williams and quarterback Deshaun Watson. Williams was taken No. 7 overall by the L.A. Chargers on Thursday, while Watson was selected at No. 12 by the Houston Texans.

Cornerback Cordrea Tankersley was picked No. 97 in the third round of the draft on Friday.

Gallman rushed for 1,133 yards in 2016 season, including 17 touchdowns, the second best mark for rushing touchdowns in a season by a Clemson running back. Gallman averaged 4.9 yards per carry in 2016. He also caught 20 passes for 152.

In 2015, Gallman set a Clemson single-season rushing record with 1,527 yards, while averaging 5.4 yards per carry and scoring 13 touchdowns. He led the Tigers in rushing touchdowns in each of the last two seasons. He also rushed for more than 100 yards nine times that season.

Gallman finished his career with a Clemson record 17 100-yard rushing games. The Tigers were 17-0 in those games.
