Clemson in top group for 4-star safety

Cypress (Texas) Cypress Springs four-star safety Leon O’Neal named Clemson one of his top seven schools Thursday morning via social media, along with Georgia, LSU, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M.

In addition to the aforementioned schools, O’Neal has offers from Alabama, Baylor, California, Florida, Houston, Michigan, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, TCU, UCLA and USC among others.

O’Neal (6-2, 190) was offered by Clemson in January and visited Clemson for the Orange & White spring game in April.

He is ranked as a top-15 safety and top-150 overall prospect in the 2018 class by all of the major recruiting services.
