Cary (N.C.) Green Hope four-star wide receiver Jordyn Adams will announce his college decision on July 3, he confirmed to The Clemson Insider.
Last month, Adams named Clemson and North Carolina his two finalists. His commitment will come during The Opening Finals at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Ore.
Adams (6-2, 175) attended Blythewood High in Blythewood, S.C., through December before transferring to Green Hope. His father, Deke Adams, was hired as North Carolina’s defensive line coach in January.
Adams last visited Clemson for its junior day in January. He also visited for Clemson’s games against Syracuse and South Carolina last season after being offered by the Tigers in October.
A two-sport star, Adams intends to play both football and baseball at the next level. As a junior on the gridiron, he played quarterback for Blythewood and threw for 2,350 yards and 24 touchdowns, and also rushed for 793 yards and 11 touchdowns.
