Former Clemson star receiver DeAndre Hopkins returned to Clemson on Saturday for his fourth annual Back to School Giveaway celebration.
Hopkins, who is entering his fifth season with the NFL’s Texans, spoke with the media and talked about having Deshaun Watson on board with him in Houston.
Watson, of course, was selected by the Texans with the 12th overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
“He’s a fellow Clemson guy. We went through the same workouts. We had the same struggle. We stayed in the same dorm room,” Hopkins said. “So, it’s good to have a Clemson guy up there with me. It was great to see him get drafted in the round he wanted to get drafted at, that everybody knew he was supposed to be at. It was awesome.”
