With more than two dozen scholarship offers in tow, Hogansville (Ga.) Callaway four-star offensive guard Keiondre Jones is in the process of cutting down his list.

Jones, one of Clemson’s top targets in the 2019 class, told TCI he is looking to announce his top group of schools next month.

“Right now, it’ll be August 18,” he said.

Jones (6-4, 315) is one of the best players at his position in the next cycle, and has offers from Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and Ohio State among others to show for it.

Clemson offered Jones last September and got him on campus a month later for the N.C. State game. He returned to Clemson for the spring game in April with his mother.

The Tigers have made a strong impression on Jones, who arrived at the Rivals Five-Star Challenge last month in Clemson gear.

Jones didn’t hesitate when asked whether Clemson will make his cut.

“Yes,” he said. “Clemson just makes me feel like I’m home. I love it there.”

Clemson is one of the schools recruiting Jones the hardest, and he named a handful of others.

“UGA, South Carolina, Ole Miss, LSU are some of them, and Bama,” he said.

Jones has developed a close friendship with five-star linebacker Owen Pappoe and five-star defensive end Nolan Smith, a couple of other prospects the Tigers have their sights on in the 2019 class.

Pappoe hails from Grayson High in Loganville, Ga., while Smith, a standout at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., is originally from Savannah, Ga.

“All of us are real tight,” Jones said.

Jones admitted that playing at Clemson together in the future is something they’ve thought about.

“We’ve discussed, but yes you never know,” he said.

Ultimately, though, Jones is going to choose the school that best fits him personally.

“Where I’m most comfortable,” he said.

Jones is ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 4 offensive guard in his class. He wants to make his decision before his senior year.
