Hopkins: ‘It felt like a Clemson game’

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Former Clemson wide receiver, now Houston Texans’ receiver, Deandre Hopkins said Wednesday’s Houston at Carolina game at Bank of America Stadium felt like a Clemson game as he and four other of his teammates returned to the Carolinas.

Hopkins is one of five former Tigers on the Texans’ roster this season. The others are quarterback Deshaun Watson, defensive tackle Carlos Watkins, defensive tackle D.J. Reader and safety Marcus Gilchrist.

Hopkins had two catches for 15 yards in limited action in the preseason opener for both teams as the Panthers won the game, 27-17.
