Washington (D.C.) Woodson four-star running back Mychale Salahuddin de-committed from Southern Cal on Sunday via social media before naming Southern Cal, Clemson, Maryland, Pittsburgh and North Carolina his top five schools in that order.
“The Trojan family has taken me in with welcomed arms since the moment I’ve received my offer from the Univ,” Salahuddin wrote in a Twitter post. “Committing to USC was one of the biggest decisions made in my life. Over the last couple of months I’ve truly realized how important this decision is for my City, my family and my life after football. The thought of being a Trojan is something I’m truly interested in, but it must be decided with a little more time and consideration! Would like to reopen my recruitment and invest my time in these last moments before signing day in my top five schools.”
Salahuddin (5-10, 193) has an offer from Clemson. He competed at the Dabo Swinney Camp this past June.
Salahuddin is currently on an unofficial visit to Maryland. He took an official visit to USC in November and also made official visits to North Carolina and Virginia.
As a senior this season, he averaged more than 10 yards per carry and scored 12 touchdowns.
