Clemson will face its in-state rival South Carolina for the 168th time Tuesday night at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson.
The Tigers (9-1) come into the game with a four-game winning streak over teams from the SEC, including last year’s two-point win over the Gamecocks in Columbia. Clemson has won five straight games overall heading into Tuesday’s game.
A primary reason for that has been the play of Marcquise Reed, who tied his season high with 22 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the floor, including 9-for-11 from the foul line in the Tigers upset win over No. 22 Florida this past Saturday.
Reed showed how clutch he has been this season, scoring 13 of his 22 points in the second half. Eight of the 13 points came in the last five minutes of the contest. He also finished with five boards and a game-high six assists. It was Reed’s second 20-point game of the season and 15th of his career.
Reed talks about the Florida Game and previews Tuesday’s game against South Carolina on TCITV.
