McMichael: Class of 2018 plans on being dominant

Four-star cornerback Kyler McMichael of Norcross (Ga.) is stoked to officially be a Clemson Tiger.

“I’m beyond excited,” McMichael told The Clemson Insider. “I’ve already started working out, preparing myself to go up against college players.”

A member of the Tigers’ mega-talented 2018 recruiting class, McMichael is looking forward to what the future holds for Clemson.

“We have a great group of guys coming in,” McMichael said. “We’re already dominant, and we’re definitely planning on being dominant in the future.”

McMichael, who is ranked among the top 100 prospects nationally, committed to Clemson in June following an overnight stay on campus.

“When I was able to get up there and spend the night with the players, just get a feel for the campus and livelihood there, I knew it was the place for me,” he said. “After that, that’s when I committed.”

McMichael said Clemson’s culture separated it from other schools in his recruitment.

“It’s definitely the culture,” he said. “That’s a little cliché, but just the sincerity of the coaches and how they plan on using me. The recruits that are there and the bond that I’ve built with them… It’s been great.”
