In the bottom of the fifth Clemson put up four runs on three hits in the fifth to take a 5-1 lead.

After a strikeout to start the frame, Beer singled and Cromwell walked before Williams took a 2-2 pitch yard into the bleachers in right center field making it 4-1. Later in the frame Bryce Teodosio laced an RBI single to right field bringing in Jolly and giving the Tigers a 5-1 lead.
