Clemson still inside Baseball America’s top 10

By

The Clemson baseball team stayed at No. 10 in the latest Baseball America Top 25 rankings on Monday.

This is the second week in a row the Tigers (10-1) have been ranked No. 10 by Baseball America. Of course Clemson is coming off a 3-1 week which saw it beat Winthrop in extra innings last Tuesday and then rally to beat rival South Carolina in the weekend after losing the opening game of their three-game series.

The Tigers won the series on Sunday thanks to Drew Wharton’s game-winning triple off the wall in right field with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to win Game 3 at Clemson’s Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Robert Jolly came all the way from first base to score the winning run.

Clemson will play Wofford on Tuesday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
