NEW YORK — Clemson didn’t perform as it would have hoped to in its 64-58 loss to Virginia in the ACC Tournament Semifinals on Friday, but Shelton Mitchell kept the Tigers hopes alive throughout the night.

Mitchell had 18 points on 5-for-11 shooting from the field, 3-for-6 shooting from three-point range, and 5-for-5 from the foul line. The junior averaged 20 points a game in his four ACC Tournament games.

Following Clemson’s loss to Virginia, Mitchell spoke to The Clemson Insider about his disappointment of losing, but the excitement when looking forward to the NCAA Tournament next week.
